Surgery Appointments

Our surgery is open every day for consultation with our vets.  You can book an appointment here.  We can come to you in certain circumstances but we would always say that, if you can, please come to us so we can make the most of the diagnostic and health-care technology onsite.

Do you need emergency care?  Call us now, we have an ambulance service available.

Prescriptions Available

Deane Vets is able to issue prescriptions and dispense the medication needed onsite.  We hold a large stock of medicines but where we need to order in specialist medicines we are able to do this 'next day' so long as we receive your prescription before 3PM.

If you have a regular prescription you can order that online here or contact us on 01823 333 722

Find out more about our prescription service on the prescriptions page.

Free Clinics

Every month our vet nurses hold free health clinics which are open to all.  Please do bring your pets along.  We focus on different aspects of your animal's health for each clinic.  For example, we run puppy clinics for new owners and young pets as well as geriatric and age clinics to help and advise owners of older animals.  We like to try and help you prevent problems before they occur.  We have a diary of free clinics online here.

Paying for Treatment

We accept most major credit and debit cards, cash and cheques (with bank card). We do not accept American Express.

All private veterinary practices are funded by the fees you pay. We try to keep our fees as affordable as possible. However, in order to do this we ask that payment be made at the time of treatment. We are always pleased to provide a detailed estimate before undertaking any treatment.

Where finance is a problem, we ask that clients discuss this with the veterinary surgeon before treatment commences.  Some clients on benefits may be eligible for PDSA support, but this must be applied for in advance by registering under the PDSA Pet Aid Scheme. Please ask at reception for details and an application form.
